Seven Wonders of the Muslim World is one of five DVD’s in the PBS Great Religions Series. Approximately 24% of the global population is Muslim, roughly 1.8 billion believers as of 2015. In the United States there are approximately 3 million Muslims. In today’s world it becomes ever more important to learn about and understand the beliefs of others through their own words.
The Muslim Faith Through the Eyes of Believers
This DVD gives one the opportunity to see the Muslim faith through the eyes of six believers on their journey of faith to the Kaaba. As Muslims throughout the world pray five times daily they face toward the Kaaba. It is a small stone building in the court of Islam’s most sacred mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Other sacred sites to this faith are also shown. This informative DVD is a beginning to better understanding our Muslim neighbors. Their holy sites are amazing feats of architecture and beauty, truly magnificent. Highly recommended.
