Season of Creation Faith Formation with Master Gardener Mary Dessel “Creating Pollinator Friendly Gardens”

By understanding the lives and characteristics of pollinators, we will learn how to nourish them and provide them with food and habitat. We will look at the importance of bees and see how to create gardens for them.

Mary Dessel is a Mason County Master Gardener. She serves as Vice-President and chairs the Educational committee. Mary was recently awarded Master Gardener of the Year for Mason County in 2020.  She is involved with areas related to education in the Master Gardener program. Mary has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in forestry with an emphasis on entomology. She worked as a park naturalist in Olympic National Park for 10 years.
