The Turning Point
Jesus is standing at a turning point in his public ministry, between the past of preaching and teaching and healing and giving life, and the future of arrest and torture, and crucifixion. He chooses to continue on the path of peace and integrity, even though it will cost him his life. In the long run, his sacrifice turns out to be life giving for future generations, for us, for our generation. In gratitude for Jesus’ amazing gift of life, we are called to uphold his ways of peace, and to continue his public ministry. Today, more than ever, this must include Care for Creation.
